How to Create a faux blowdry at home using a curling tong and velcro Rollers  Want that bouncy, salon blowdry finish without actually blowdrying? This faux blowdry technique uses a large curling tong to create movement and the maene. velcro rollers to lock in shape, giving you a long lasting, voluminous finish with minimal effort.

  What you'll need:

• Large curling tong
• maene. Volume Roller Pack
• maene. The Everyday brush 
• Heat protection spray 
• Hairspray, texture spray, or shine spray 

Step 1: Protect the hair apply a heat protection spray thoroughly through dry hair before picking up the tong.

Step 2: Tong in horizontal sections start at the roots and wrap each section of hair around the tong horizontally. Working horizontally creates the bouncy, blowdry-style movement rather than defined curls. 

Step 3: Roll immediately after tonging roll each tonged section straight into a thermal velcro roller while the hair is still warm, this is what sets the shape and creates lasting volume. Use the large rollers underneath and XL rollers on top for extra root lift and volume.

Step 4: Tuck the ends smoothly make sure the ends are tucked smoothly around the roller before rolling to avoid buckling or creasing at the tips. 

Step 5: Secure with balancing clips use two balancing clips on either side of each roller to create even, balanced volume as the style sets.

Step 6: Keep sections neat. Neat sections make removal much easier and give you cleaner, more polished results.

 Step 7: XL rollers through the top - no parting needed place XL rollers across the top of the head without following a parting. This creates maximum volume at the crown and means you can wear your parting wherever you like once the rollers are out.

 Step 8: Set with spray once all rollers are in, finish with a hairspray or texture spray if your hair struggles to hold movement. If your hair holds well naturally, a shine spray adds a polished, blowdry like finish. 

Step 9: Allow to fully cool leave the rollers in until the hair is completely cool, this is what gives you maximum volume and longevity. Don't rush this step.

Step 10: Remove carefully remove both balancing clips first, then gently pull each roller away from the head. Check no hair is trapped underneath before removing fully.
